Spring 2014 Trend – Pastels.

Words cannot describe how happy I am, to see that pastels are making a come back in spring 2014! Throw those dark clothes in the back of your closet! Spring is nearly here! Here are some of my favourite pastel looks!
1.Sumiko Long Sleeved Collar Dress in Baby Pink – Missguided. This is my number one for a reason! I love love love the retro feel to this dress and the fact that it’s retro without looking like something from mamo’s closet! Not Penney’s prices but not far off!
2. Rowie Moss Stich Jumper – Apricot – Boohoo.com
If you aren’t sure that pastels are for you then this jumper is you! Jumpers are the easiest way to add a little colour into your wardrobe without spending ridiculous amounts of money on something you’ll wear once or twice! I love this jumper from boohoo because it’s so wearable you could wear it to college or out to drinks with your friends with the right dress or skirt! At  15 euro you can’t go wrong!
3. Accessories, accessories, accessories. I cannot emphasize enough how much accessories can change a whole outfit! Cheap and cheerful,  accessories are a great way to give an outfit oomph! This hat from asos for a tenner, is a nice way to brighten up your outfit. Face it we live in Ireland, it’ll be cold so wrap up in style!
Tip : Use sites like https://www.myunidays.com/ that give students (like moi) discount codes to use on sites like Boohoo.com, Asos, Missguided and Riverisland! Give it a bash, not to sound like tesco but “every little helps…” ( It really does)
Side note : These are just some of my ideas on how to try a style out , if you find cheaper options please let me know!

The Stippling Brush.

What is a stippling brush? Well this brush is pretty much an all rounder! It’s mainly used as a liquid, cream and powder foundation brush, but it can be used to put cream blushes or powder blushes on too! I like to use it with cream contours and foundation because it’s great for blending!

What’s amazing about the brush is that your foundation goes on so smoothly and evenly that you look like you have very little on! I use the Real Techniques Stippling brush by Samantha Chapman ( Youtuber : Pixiwoo)

This brush is great because it gives you the look and feel of a higher end brush but is cheaper then MAC or Sigma brushes! You can find the Real Techniques brush at  http://www.boots.ie/en/Real-Techniques-Stippling-Brush_1253416/ for €16  (get your student cards out girls)

Top Tip : Use Primer before applying your foundation because it gives you a base to put your makeup on and your makeup lasts longer!

P.S Future posts will be on Wednesday and Sunday! Thanks for Reading 🙂

The Holy Grail of Mascara – Benefit Bad Gal Lash .

Mascara is probably one of the most common makeup products, that you will find in a girls makeup bag.  Being a student I lose A LOT of makeup on a night out, so usually I wouldn’t spend a huge amount of money on mascara.  However, this mascara is probably one of the best investments I’ve made so far.

An expensive one but a goodie, great for adding volume to eyelashes and no clumps in sight. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and they all love it too!

You can find Bad Gal Lash at http://www.debenhams.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10052_10001_123901802599_-1 for €23!

Top Tip : Use eyelash curler before applying!
