How to survive a long haul flight!

 

I love travelling. Wanderlust has something that has bitten me and I’ve managed to survive a few long haul flights. Coming up to my trip to Florida I’ve been preparing for the flight over, so I’ve decided to share with you my tips and tricks on how to survive a long haul flight.

1. Little bag of tricks.

I’ve learnt over the years not to wear make up on flight journeys. Flying has a tendency to dry out your skin and make up doesn’t help either. I fly with a fresh face but even at that after a few hours my skin doesn’t feel great. So I popped a cleanser, moisturiser, lip balm and hand cream into a clear bag and voila they’re easily accessed throughout the flight.

2. Comfy Clothes

 

I see a lot of bloggers write posts about how to dress stylishly while flying. To be frank after 6+ hours on a plane the last thing I’m worried about is if my dress is creased. I opt for comfort so grab a pair of leggings and your comfiest hoodie!

3. Your own earphones

Usually airlines provide earphones but I always think they sit awkwardly in your ears. Bring your own earphones not only will you be more comfortable but the sound quality will be better.

4. A light read

 

I love the fact you can sit and watch movies on the flight but it’s always good to take a break from screens. Pick up a magazine in the airport or get stuck into a book you’ve been meaning to read. No better time! I’m dying to get my hands on the girl on the train.

5. Invest in a travel pillow

 

For ultimate comfort buy a travel pillow. It helps when you want to sleep 🙂

 

 

6. Make a playlist

 

Whether it be Spotify, audio tube or simply your iPod playlists are great. I love making playlists it’s all my favourite songs in one place which means I don’t have to skip every five minutes!

7. Stay Hydrated
Most important of all my tips is probably this one. Can’t stress enough how much better you feel when you’re hydrated. So drink loads of water!
