The answer? Jessup. The last few months I have heard bits and pieces about a new cheaper brand of brushes. The Jessup brushes are sold on eBay and are usually distributed from countries like China. My brushes came from Hong Kong.
The brushes come in a protective case so they aren’t damaged! I bought the Pro Jessup Cosmetics Foundation Blending Brush Kabuki Makeup Tool Set Kit (mouthful right?). They are available in nine different colours and instead of opting for the usual black brush I choose a deep purple.
I believe brushes have a big impact on how your make up turns out. With a good brush you’re guaranteed a good finish ! Below I did a comparison between the Jessup and Sigma brushes!
F80 Flat Kabuki Sigma Price $24
F82 Round Kabuki Sigma Price $24
F84 Angled Kabuki Sigma Price $24
F86 Tapered Kabuki Sigma Price $24
F88 Flat Angled Kabuki Sigma Price $24
E30 Pencil Sigma Price $14
E25 Blending Sigma Price $14
E40 Tapered Blending Sigma Price $16
E70 Medium Angeled Shading $14
E59 Wide Shade Sigma Price $16
The brushes were dense and although they picked up product it didn’t sink into the brush which was great because you don’t waste foundation or any other make up products. My favourite for applying foundation has to be the flat kabuki and the tapered kabuki is a dream to use with a cream contour! Altogether the Sigma brushes add up to $194 which converts to €176. However the Jessup price is $13 and shipping was only $2.97 which converts roughly to €14.55! I really think this is a steal compared to other Sigma and Real Techniques brushes!
I’ve left the link below for anyone who is interested in purchasing! The only fault really is how long it takes to get here. The seller advertises 10-15 days so you’ll definitely be in for a long wait. I’m sure you can find another seller on eBay that would be faster but I think my seller was good because she emailed me to tell me when they were shipped and they arrived the time she said they would 🙂
